Shop the County ‘s trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service that is not owned by Shop the County or its associates, in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among customers, or in any manner that disparages or discredits Shop the County . All other trademarks not owned by Shop the County or its associates and sublicencees that appear on this site are the property of their respective owners, who may or may not be affiliated with, connected to, or sponsored by Shop the County or its partner regions.

Licence and Site Access

Shop the County grants users a limited licence to access and make personal use of this Portal and not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with express written consent of Shop the County. This Portal or any portion of this Portal may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without express written consent of Shop the County. You may not frame or utilize framing techniques to enclose any trademark, logo, or other proprietary information (including images, text, page layout, or form) of Shop the County, its partner regions and its account holders without express written consent. You may not use any meta tags or any other “hidden text” utilizing Shop the County ‘s name or trademarks without the express written consent of Shop the County. Any unauthorized use terminates the permission or Licence granted by Shop the County. Portal users are granted a limited, revocable, and nonexclusive right to create a hyperlink to the home page of Shop the County so long as the link does not portray Shop the County , its associates, or their products or services in a false, misleading, derogatory, or otherwise offensive matter. Users may not use any Shop the County logo or other proprietary graphic or trademark as part of the link without express written permission.

Account Setup

In order to access and use some or a portion of the Services of the Shop the County Portal, you are required to register with us and set up a free business profile with your email address and a password (your “Profile”). The email address you provide will be your email address, and you are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your Account. Therefore, you should protect your password and make your password difficult for others to guess. Account holders agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under their account or password. Users under 18 may create an account on Shop the County only with involvement of a parent or guardian. Shop the County and its partner regions reserve the right to refuse service, suspend accounts, remove or edit content, or terminate accounts at their sole discretion.

Business Listing Content

When creating a business profile on Shop the County, you may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of a business or other content. Shop the County reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit such content but does not regularly review posted content. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you post: that the content is accurate: that use of the content you supply does not violate any laws; and that you will indemnify Shop the County or its associates for all claims resulting from content you supply. Shop the County has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit or remove any activity or content. Shop the County takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content posted by you or any third party.

Product and Service Descriptions

Shop the County does not warrant that product and service descriptions of its account holders is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product or service offered by any Shop the County account holder is not as described, your sole remedy is to consult the respective account holder.

Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

This Portal is provided by Shop the County and its partner regions on an “”as is” and “as available” basis. Shop the County makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of this Portal or the information, content, materials, or business listings included on this site. Users of this Portal expressly agree that their use of this site is at their sole risk. To the full extent permissible by applicable law, Shop the County disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Shop the County does not warrant that this Portal, its servers, or e-mail sent from Shop the County are free of viruses or other harmful components. Shop the County will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this site, including, but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.

Abuse of Services

From time to time, Shop the County moderators will review business profiles to detect any problems or offensive content so that we can keep this Portal working properly. We may restrict or terminate our Services, remove business profile content and take technical and legal steps to keep users off Shop the County if we think that they are creating problems or acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies. However, whether we decide to take any of these steps, remove hosted content or keep a user off Shop the County or not, we do not accept any liability for monitoring Shop the County or for unauthorized or unlawful content on Shop the County or use of Shop the County by users.

Fees and Services

Shop the County provides business directory Services free of charge; however, account holders may be charged for certain value-added Services. If the Service you use charges a fee, you will be able to review and accept that charge. We will notify you of changes to our fee policy by posting such changes on the site. We may choose to temporarily change our fees for promotional events or new services; these changes are effective when we announce the promotional event or new service. Our fees are non-refundable, and you are responsible for paying them when they’re due.

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. You agree not to hold us responsible for things other users post or do. As most of the business directory content on Shop the County comes from other users, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, efficacy or timeliness of any postings or user communications or the quality, safety, or legality of what is offered. We also cannot guarantee continuous or secure access to our Services. Notification functionality in our Services may not occur in real time. Such functionality is subject to delays beyond our control, including without limitation, delays or latency due to your physical location or your wireless data service provider’s network. Accordingly, to the extent legally permitted we expressly disclaim all warranties, representations and conditions, express or implied, including those of quality, merchantability, merchantable quality, durability, fitness for a particular purpose and those arising by statute. By using Services, you agree to the collection, transfer, storage and use of your personal information by Shop the County (the “data controller”) on servers located in Canada as further described in our Privacy Policy.

General

These Terms and the other policies posted on the Services constitute the entire agreement between us and you, superseding any prior agreements. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
